Eugene Nowlin, 48, passed away suddenly at his home on Spring street, 
Wednesday evening, due to a heart ailment. Mr. Nowlin was associated with Mr. 
Gage in the Gage Electric Motor Service, Inc., in Medford. He was formerly 
connected with United Motors, the electric branch of General Motors and 
traveled extensively for that firm. He had followed the electric business 
since a young man. Mr. and Mrs. Nowlin traveled all [over] the United States 
and Alaska. He was a great lover of outdoor sports and was held in high esteem 
where ever he was known. He was born in Lapeer county, Michigan, Feb. 14, 
1897. Besides his wife, Madge Nowlin, he leaves a daughter, Winona Jean 
Nowlin, at home, one brother, Ray Nowlin of Mayville, Mich., and a sister, 
Mrs. Celia Magennis of Detroit. He was a member of Roxy Ann Grange and the 
local Eagles lodge. Arrangements for services will be announced by Conger-
Morris Funeral parlors later.
