NICHOLS, John, Medford (Oregon) Mail, Friday, 28 Mar 1902: Died on March
19, 1902, at the residence of his parents, John Nichols, youngest son of Mr.
and Mrs. Thos. E. Nichols, aged thirty years, one month and two days. Funeral
services were conducted at the family residence by Rev. J. P. Moomaw, and the
remains were interred in the family cemetery on the old home place. Dec eased
leaves a father, mother, three sisters and one brother, besides a number of
relatives and a host of friends, to mourn his loss. He was a young man of
sterling qualities, always ready for business. He was just finishing a neat
residence on the old Horace Ish farm, on Rogue river, and getting his home in
good shape. Beloved by all who knew him, he will be greatly missed in this
community.
