Born in Illinois February 4, 1849. The family came to Oregon and Jackson county in 1860 from Illinois, arriving at Redding, Calif., before the railroad was completed and coming from there by team and wagon, settling in Sam's Valley and living there seven years. Afterwards deceased homesteaded a farm in the Table Rock district. Deceased leaves his wife Annie, five sons, and one daughter: Charles and George A., Medford; Elmer, Glendale, Ore.; Bert, Yuba City, Calif.; Roy, Central Point, Ore.; daughter, Mrs. Mollie Cook, Medford. Also sixteen grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Perl Funeral Home Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Rev Johnson of the Federated church, Central Point, will officiate. Interment in Central Point cemetery.
