Died–At Table Rock, December 24, 1904, Mrs. Hannah Myers, aged 87 years, 10 
months and 1 day. The funeral took place from the residence of her daughter, 
Mrs. Benton Vincent, on Monday, interment being beside her husband in Antioch 
cemetery. A large number of people from Table Rock and Antioch followed their 
remains to their last resting place, to bid farewell to one, who to mahy of 
them had been a life-long friend. Grandma Myers had been a great sufferer for 
some time and ever since her husband’s death, about a year ago, she had longed 
to join him, so death came as a welcome visitor. “O still, white face of 
perfect peace, / Untouched by passion, free from pain. / He who ordained that 
work should cease, / Took to himself the ripened grain. / Of human care you 
left no trace, / No slightest trace of grief or pain. / On earth an empty form 
and face, / In Heaven stands the ripened grain.”
