MURPHY, Joseph Frederick, Medford (Oregon) Mail, Friday, 9 Jan 1903: Died
at the family residence, near Central Point, Joseph Frederick Murphy, January
3, 1903, aged twenty four years and twenty-one days. The funeral services were
held at the residence on Monday, January 5th, Rev. T. L. Crandall, pastor of
the First Baptist Church of Medford, officiating. Mr. Murphy was a native of
Illinois and came to Medford in 1896, and removed from there to his late
residence with his parents about a year ago. He leaves a host of friends, who
will be pained to hear of his death.
