A. MOORE TAKEN BY DEATH Charles A. Moore, a long-time resident of Baker, Ore., where he was a prominent attorney and practiced law for many years, and who during the past three or four years had become a resident of Medford, passed away Saturday at the Coffey Memorial hospital in Portland. Mr. Moore was a graduate of the University of Oregon, attending that institution at the time when Senator Geo. W. Dunn, Miles Cantrall, F. D. Wagner and other prominent citizens of southern Oregon were students there. He married Hattie Newbury and they took up their residence at Baker. Mrs. Moore died in 1919. Mr. Moore was a man of very high intelligence and education, and could read the Latin and Greek fluently. He was a wide reader and thorough student of the history of the world and of governmental economics. A few years ago he and a friend made a trip around the world, visiting all of the prominent cities and most of the Asiatic and European countries, and his information gained by extensive reading was supplemented by this trip and it was a pleasure to listen to him talk interestingly of these countries and cities which he had visited and associated them in their modern phase with the Biblical and other historical productions. Funeral services will be conducted at the Perl Funeral Parlors Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
