Mrs. Mitchell was born in Illinois on July 15, 1869. When a child, she left Illinois with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Utley, in a wagon train and settled at Weiser, Ida., where her father sponsored the opening of the First Methodist church in Weiser. Mrs. Mitchell was a lifelong member of the Methodist church and a member of the Rebecca Lodge for over 40 years. She was a former member of the Eastern Star. She is survived by one son, Harold U., two grandchildren and one great- grandchild, all of Medford. Remains will be transferred to the Northam funeral home at Weiser for services and interment. Perl Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
