Three weeks ago he went to San Fransisco, accompanied by his wife, but was not benefited by the trip. He returned home a week ago and gradually asnk, until the end came. Mr.Miller was a man of sterling integrity, rare executive ability, enterprising and public spirited, and in his death the community loses one of its most worthy citizens. He was engaged in several business enterprses, and leaves a family well provided for. He leaves a wife and children- four daughters, Mrs. J.A. Calienderm of San Rafael,Calif; Mrs. J.W. Robinson, of Jacksonville; Mrs.Edwin Scott, of Portland; and Miss Mollie, and three sons,Philip,John and Harry. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon under th eauspices of the Masonic Order. The United Workmen, of which he was a member, will also appear in regalia. Mr.Miller was a native of Bavaria, 62 years of age, and has reided in Jacksonville the past 30 years.
