The Rev. J. J. Munshaw of Eagle Point Community church will officiate. Internment will be in Central Point cemetery. Mr. Messal was born at Lake Creek, Aug. 18, 1908, and resided at Lake Creek throughout his lifetime. His mother is Mrs. Emma Walch Messal of Lake Creek; his father the late William Messal, both natives of Jackson county. Mr. Messal was employed in road construction and mining. He was later affiliated with the William Von der Hellen Construction company, and during his last years he has been engaged in logging and cattle raising in the Lake Creek district. In April, 1936, he was married to Mildred Cox, who survives. Other survivors are his mother, Mrs. Emma Messal; his brother, Lawrence Messal, of Eagle Point; his sister, Mrs. Neva Richards of Woodland, Wash.; two nieces, Marcene Sandell, Riverside, Calif.; and Linda Messal, Eagle Point. Honorary pallbearers will be Earnest Burrell, Rapheal Gardner, Harold Zundel, Goldin Zundel, Claus Charley, and Ira Woolfolk. Active pallbearers will be Donald Beiberstedt, Sheldon Marsters, Scott Wickersham, Merton Bradshaw, Melvin Johnston and Kermit DeHass.
