McDonough passed away late Wednesday at her home, which was a part of a homesteaders' right purchased by her late husband in the early 1880s. Her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Smith, came to Logtown in 1863, and Mrs. McDonough was born there on Dec. 22, 1866. In 1886 she was united in marriage to James McDonough, who preceded her in death in 1923. Surviving are four children, Ivan, Chester and Martin McDonough, all of Ruch, who operate the Sunnyside store there; and Mrs. Bertha Turpin, Medford; two brothers, J. A. Smith, San Francisco, and E. A. Smith, Ruch, also three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Loved by all who knew her, she will long be remembered for her kindness and charitable qualities.
