Mr. Mayham was born in Eagle Point, July 19, 1889. He attended Eagle Point schools, and on July 6, 1918, enlisted in the World war at Jacksonville, Oregon. He was discharged Nov. 23, 1918. A single man, he engaged in stock raising and farming. He leaves many friends to mourn his departure, also three sisters, Mrs. Rose Wooley, of Independence, Ore., Mrs. Lovina Dowell, of Seattle, Wash., and Rachael Buckland of Portland, Ore., and one brother, Joe Mayham of Eagle Point. Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Perl Funeral home Wednesday at 2 p.m., Rev. D. E. Millard officiating. Interment will take place in the Central Point cemetery, Medford Post No. 15 American Legion will have charge of the services at the graveside, and a salute will be fired over his grave.
