Earl P. Mathews, cousin of the deceased, arrived in Medford this morning and left with the auto in which Carl Mathews and his mother were traveling. Mrs. Mathews accompanied her nephew to Portland. POE -- Funeral services for John T. Poe who passed away in Gold Hill Tuesday were held at the Conger chapel, conducted by Rev. D. J. Howe at 3:00 p.m. Friday. After the interment, his son, Albert Poe, returned to Oakland, Cal., from whence he came to be present at the service.
