LYMAN DIES, GOLD HILL George S. Lyman, a resident of Jackson county for the past 42 years, coming here in 1894 and settling at Gold Hill where he has since resided, passed away in a local hospital Wednesday evening at the age of 77. Mr. Lyman was an active worker in fraternal circles and leaves a wide acquaintance throughout southern Oregon. His immediate family consists of his wife, Mary Katherine and one son, Ernest Lyman of Gold Hill, and two girls whom he and Mrs. Lyman reared. They are Mrs. Joseph Carone of Salem, and Mrs. Earl Ham, Gold Hill. Also one grandchild, Shirley Lyman. A complete obituary will appear later. Funeral services will be held in the I.O.O.F. hall at Gold Hill at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. Services at the grave will be in charge of the Gold Hill Odd Fellows; Conger Funeral Parlors in charge of arrangements (Transcriber's note: It is unknown if another obituary followed this one.)
