M. Low, of Wagner creek, met with a distressing accident on Friday of last week, which resulted in her death. Mrs. Low was preparing to scrub and had just filled a tub, which was placed on the floor, with scalding water to be used for that purpose. She stepped outside to get a bucketful of cold water, when Fannie, who was playing in the room at the time, fell into the tub. The mother, hearing the child’s cries, returned to the room, but not in time to save her. The little one lingered in great pain until Saturday evening, when death came to her relief. Mr. and Mrs. Low have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad affliction.
