Lockard, a former resident of Medford, passed away at Fresno, Cal., on January 4, 1944, after a short illness. Mr. Lockard was born at Whatcheer, Iowa, on Feb. 7, 1904, being aged 39 years. He will be remembered by many friends here. He was a member of the Fresno, Cal., lodge of Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Lockard and nine-year-old son, Keith Lockard, of Fresno, Cal.; his father, W. A. Lockard, and one brother, Earl Lockard of Medford. Funeral services will be conducted from the Perl Funeral Home on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Elder G. A. Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in the Medford I.O.O.F. cemetery. Medford Lodge of Eagles will have charge of the services at the graveside.
