Burial was in Reno. Daughter of Senator and Mrs. Thomas Beall, pioneer residents of the Rogue River valley, Mrs. Lewis attended school in southern Oregon before teaching. She was married to Red Bluff, Cal., in 1888 to I. M. Lewis, also of Oregon. They have since lived in California and Nevada. Survivors include her husband and one brother, Lee Beall of Lakeview, Ore., and three sons, two daughters and nine grandchildren. Also, Mrs. Lewis was a cousin of Mrs. Charles Strang and Vinton Beall of Medford, and an aunt of Earl Beall, formerly of Medford and now of Roseburg.
