Leever, one of the oldest pioneers of Southern Oregon, died at his residence in Central Point on March 2, 1903, aged 74 years. Mr. Leever came to Oregon from his native state, Ohio, in 1854. He was married in 1856, and to he and his wife were born ten children, all of whom are living. During the Civil war Mr. Leever was a member of the 1st Oregon volunteer regiment. For nearly all of the time he has lived in Oregon he has resided on his farm in Central Point precinct, where most of the children of the family were born. The funeral took place on Wednesday, March 4th, services being held at the Baptist church in that town, Rev. T. J. Crandall, of Medford, officiating. The interment was made in the Central Point cemetery, under the auspices of W. H. Harrison Post, G. A. R.
