The lady was taken sick on Thursday but was not considered dangerously ill until Sunday when she was threatened with pneumonia which developed rapidly and caused her death on Monday morning. A husband and four children, the oldest seven years of age and the youngest a babe of six weeks, are bereft of a wife and mother. Mrs. Vahlberg, mother of the deceased, arrived Monday evening from Santa Cruz and took the children home with her. Mr. Learned also accompanied the children, but will return soon to look after his farm. The remains were shipped to Santa Cruz, Mrs. Learned's former home, for burial.
