Services for Wm. H. Hughes, who passed away Tu4esday morning at the age of
59, will be held in the Conger-Morris chapel Friday at 10 a.m.

He was born in Kelso, Wash., April 6, 1884. For the past 37 years he had
lived in Jackson county, mostly in Butte Falls where he had worked as a
faller. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Clara J. Hughes, Butte Falls,
and three brothers and three sisters, James E. and Martin L. Hughes, Butte
Falls; Mrs. Maud Smith, Prince George, Canada; Mrs. Edith Gilham, Cottage
Grove; Samuel Hughes, Yreka and Mrs. Viola Pruett, Medford.
