The Masonic order will be in charge. Interment will take place in the Siskiyou Memorial Park. The active pallbearers are Ralph E. Sweeney, E. M. Wilson, Elbert Lenox, Harvey Fields, Charles Furnas and Otto De Jarnett. The honorary pallbearers are J. P. Naumes, Eugene Thorndike, Ernest Scott, Verne Shangle, B. G. Harding and O. D. Frazee. Mr. Hubbard was a native of Urbana, Ill., and came to Medford in 1912. He had exchanged a plantation for a Rogue river valley orchard and became a pear grower. In later years he was engaged in the marketing of fruit and at the time of his death was associated with the Pacific Fruit & Produce company. He was always a student and lover of Masonry and went far in the councils of that order, both in Illinois and Oregon. In 1910 he was elected most illustrious grand master of the grand council of Illinois. At the time of his death he was an honorary member of that council and of the grand council of royal and select masters of Oregon. He was a man of sound judgment and discretion and a good counsellor. He was modest and retiring, with a kindly consideration for others. He loved the beautiful in life. His friendships were true and genuine. He was loved most by those who knew him best. A host of friends will cherish fond memories of him. The community has lost a good citizen. Mr. Hubbard is survived by his wife, Lucinda Reames Hubbard, his son, Austin James Hubbard, and his sister, Julia E. Insley of Roseburg.
