Riverside, Nov. 19th from infirmities of old age. Aged 88 years, 8 months and 5 days. She was born in Rhode Island, March 14, 1833. She was the widow of Fortunatus Hubbard, deceased in 1894. Mrs. Hubbard was a charter member of the Methodist church and was active in all the movements of the church up until infirmities prevented. She helped to build the first Methodist church in Medford. She was a direct descendant of James Otis, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. She leaves a host of friends to mourn her loss besides the following relatives: one daughter and four sons, Mrs. Olive Slocum, Los Angeles, Cal.; Fort, Otis A., Alexis and Asahel C. Hubbard, all of Medford, Ore., and one sister, Miss Sarah G. Otis, Los Angeles, Cal. The funeral services will be held at the Perl Funeral home, Monday at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Sasnett officiating. Interment in I. O. O. F. cemetery.
