Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Friday, 11 Jun 1948, p. 13, c. 5 
Bertha A. Holst, a resident of the Sams Valley and Central Point communities 
for the past 68 years, passed away at Woodland, Wash., June 8. Mrs. Holst was 
born in York County, Neb., on July 4, 1877. She came to Southern Oregon when 
she was two years of age. She is survived by one daughter, Ivern Hollenbeak, 
Woodland, Wash.; two sons, Monterey, East Greenwich, R. I., and Glenn, 
Medford. Four sisters, five brothers and five grandchildren. Funeral services 
will be conducted from the Perl Funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. 
Delbert Daniels, pastor of the First Christian church officiating. Interment 
will take place in the family plot in the Sams Valley cemetery.
