Cora Ellen Hoffman, 49, beloved wife of John R. Hoffman, residing on Thompson 
creek in the Applegate district, passed away suddenly Sunday evening at the 
farm home. She was a native daughter of Southern Oregon, having been born at 
Table Rock December 4, 1887. Mrs. Hoffman attended the Central Point schools 
and later taught in different schools of Southern Oregon, her last school 
being on Thompson creek near her present home. Cora Ellen March was united in 
marriage to John R. Hoffman, January 10, 1910, at Central Point, one son, Leo, 
being born to the union. He is attending business college at Oakland, Cal. She 
also leaves three brothers, George March of Central Point, Edward March of 
Eugene and Lloyd March of Central Point, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Hartley 
of Talent, Ore. A host of friends will mourn her passing. Funeral services 
will be announced later by the Perl Funeral home.
