Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Tuesday, 14 Nov 1950, p. 11, c. 5 George 
Charles Hoffman, 95, died at his home today on Thompson creek. He was born 
Mar. 9, 1855 in Germany and came to California in 1871. He moved to the 
Applegate valley in 1874. His wife, Laura, died in 1911. Survivors include one 
son, J. R., of the Applegate; two daughters, Mrs. E. N. Jordan, Sacramento, 
and Mrs. E. R. Ballard, Weed. Funeral services, in charge of Perl Funeral 
home, will be announced later.

Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Thursday, 16 Nov 1950 Funeral services for 
George C. Hoffman, who died at his home on Thompson creek Tuesday, will be 
held at Perl Funeral home Friday at 2 p. m., with the Rev. Caster officiating. 
Interment will be in Jacksonville Cemetery.
