She was born in the state of Ohio, in the year 1833 and was converted and united with the M. E. Church of Richland, Iowa, in 1860 and was married to Richard Hodge on February 25, 1875. To them was born one son, Walter C. Hodge, who is now a resident of Iowa. In the year 1893 Mrs. Hodge became a charter member of the Beck Congregational church of Sac County, Iowa. She was a great worker in Sunday school and church work. Mr. and Mrs. Hodge brought their letters from the Beck church with the intention of joining the M. E. Church in Central Point. They came to Central Point to make their home in May 1900. The husband and son mourn the loss of a good wife and loving mother. The funeral services were conducted at the home on Sunday. –J. C.
