Mrs. Anna Hill was born Jan. 25, 1855, in Douglas County, Oregon, and lived there until she moved with her parents to Jackson County, where she was married in May, 1873, to H. L. Hill. Here she lived until death called her spirit thence, after a long and distressing illness, April 18, 1899, aged 44 years, 2 months and 24 days. Mrs. Hill leaves a husband and six children, five daughters and one son. Mrs. C. D. Bramlet of Chico, Calif., Mrs. G. W. Heckathorn, of Elk creek, Mary, Henry, Lucinda, (Ella now dead), and Maysie Hill, of Trail, besides a host of friends to mourn her demise. She was a loving and devoted mother. "Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord. They rest from their labors, and their works do follow them."
