Hildreth, a resident of Jackson County for the past 38 years, the last 18 of which were spent at Butte Falls, passed away in a Medford hospital at 1:15 Tuesday morning, December 11. Mr. Hildreth was born at Arcadia, Mich., October 4, 1869. Aged 58 years. On June 6, 1900, he was married at Ashland to Lola Fendall who survives him. He enlisted at the beginning of the Spanish- American war and served in the Philippines as a musician in the band and at the time of his death was a member of the Medford post of the Spanish-American veterans. Besides his wife he leaves two brothers, Delbert E., of Oakland, Cal., and Allen E., of Butte Falls, Ore. Funeral services will be held at the Conger chapel, West Main at Newton street, at 1:30 Friday. Rev. Theumler, chaplain of the Spanish-American war veteran post of Medford will officiate at the chapel and the local veterans will serve as pall bearers and have charge of services at the grave in Medford cemetery.
