Thomas Benton Higinbotham, a widely known pioneer citizen of Jackson county, 
died Tuesday, Nov. 6, his birthday, at the home of his son, J. E. Higinbotham, 
Derby. He was born in Cass county, Michigan, in 1849. He leaves to mourn his 
loss five children, who are James E. Higinbotham and Mrs. A. E. Chartr[a]w of 
Derby, John S. Higinbotham of Butte Falls, William A. Higinbotham of Prospecct 
and Rosa B. Fell[i]s of Bentley, Canada. Funeral services were held over the 
deceased at Derby this afternoon.
