H. J. Hicks, a well known business man of Ashland, died at his home in that 
city last Saturday morning, and was buried Sunday with unusually impressive 
ceremonies. He was a prominent member of the Knights of Pythias lodge, under 
the auspices of which order the funeral was conducted. A number of the K. of 
P. boys of this city attended the funeral, among whom were J. H. Butler, 
Wallace Woods, S. J. Richardson, A. Weeks, J. E. Enyart, Carl Narregan, Fred 
Luy, W. J. Mahoney and W. H. McGowan.
