Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, at Perl's funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Nelson of the St. Mark's Episcopal church officiating. Mrs. Hemstreet was born at Table Rock, August 28, 1879, and has resided in Jackson county most of her life. Her parents, William and Lucinda Wilson, were pioneer settlers in the Rogue River valley. She was married to Jack Hemstreet, a veteran of the Spanish-American war, October 17, 1923. Her husband passed away July 16, 1938. She was associated with Whillock's Golden Rule store when that concern was one of Medford's leading department stores. Later she joined the staff of Evans' Sport Shop. This gentle, kindly lady was a devout member of the First Christian church of Medford and poured her enthusiasm and energy into church endeavors and activities of the Alpha Delta Bible class.
