Mr. Helman was born in Cleveland, Ohio, June 16, 1888 and came west with his parents, the late Rev. and Mrs. Charles E. Helman when he was six years of age. They settled in Idaho and although a youth, he assisted his father in building a Methodist church at Haley. He later studied law and practiced that profession at various places in the state. He was a veteran of World War No. 1 and past commander of the American Legion post at Payette, Idaho. Fraternally, he held membership in the Masonic order at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Besides his wife, Alice Helman, he leaves seven children, Ann, Thomas, Jack, Alice, John, Charles and Marjory Helman, all at home; also his mother, Mrs. Charles E. Helman of Boise, Idaho. Two sisters also survive, Mrs. Frances Ludlow and Mrs. Agnes Massey of Nampa, Idaho. Funeral services will be held at the Conger chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Louis C. Kirby and Rev. C. Edwin Cox officiating. Interment will take place in Siskiyou Memorial Park. Final rites at the grave side will be in charge of the Medford Masonic lodge.
