HECKATHORN, William O., Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune,
Monday, 7 Oct 1946 -- William O. Heckathorn, who was born at
Brownsboro on November 28, 1880, passed away Saturday from a
heart attack at the home of his niece, Mrs. Tressie Vaughn, near
McLeod in the Laurelhurst district.

He left the Brownsboro district when he was 14 years of age and
spent the remainder of his life on Elk Creek. Mr. Heckathorn was
also well known in the Applegate district. Survivors include two
sisters, Mrs. D. W. Pence, Eagle Point, and Mrs. Dora Traylor,
Drain, Ore.

Funeral services will be held at the Perl Funeral Home Tuesday at 2
p.m. with the Rev. D. E. Millard officiating. Interment will take
place in Trail cemetery.
