He was born at Aldridge, Missouri, on Aug. 16, 1914, and had been a resident of this community for the past one and one-half years. A complete obituary will be published later. HAWKINS RITES WEDNESDAY Mark Aaron Hawkins, 26, a resident of Central Point for the past 1-1/2 years, passed away at a local hospital September 20, after a brief illness. He was born August 16, 1914, in Aldrich, Missouri, the son of William and Alma Hawkins, and spent his early life in Missouri. He was united in marriage to Laura Lee Dotson on May 20, 1932, and to this union one child as born on September 18, 1935. He first went to Central Point in 1936, staying about two years, returning 1-1/2 years ago. Surviving are his wife, Laura Hawkins, one daughter, Georgia Lee, his father and mother, William and Alma Hawkins of Aldrich, Missouri, five brothers, Cletus and Ross Hawkins of Fairplay, Missouri, Kimble, Arnold and Hobart Hawkins of Aldrich, Missouri, four sisters, Mittie Shuler of Jerico Springs, Missouri, Mable Neil of Goleta, Calif., Elsie Hawkins of Mount Vernon, Missouri, and Bessie Fernlund of Central Point. He also leaves many friends and other relatives. He was a member of the Baptist church. Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Perl Funeral home Wednesday at 2 p.m., Rev. Luther of the Federated Church of Central Point officiating. Interment will take place in the family plot at Aldrich, Missouri.
