Suzan Carolina Hart passed away at her home two miles north of Eagle Point 
Thursday, April 4, 1929 at the age of 72 years, four months. She was a native 
daughter of Jackson county, having been born in Jacksonville November 1856. 
She has been living for the past fifth years on her farm, which her husband 
and his brother homesteaded, cleared for cultivation and made livable. She 
married twice, first to Marvin Sylvester Wood and later to Mr. Hart 
(deceased). She leaves to mourn her, two daughters and one son, Mrs. Ora 
Henderson of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Mamie Haws of Los Angeles, Calif. And Walter 
S. Wood of Eagle Point, Ore.; also three grandchildren. The remains are at the 
Perl Funeral home, and arrangements will be announced later.

Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Sunday, 7 Apr 1929, p. 8, c. 2: The funeral 
services for Suzan Carolina Hart will be held at the Perl Funeral home Sunday, 
April 7, (today), at 2:00 o’clock p. m., Rev. W. H. Eaton officiating. 
Interment will take place in the Central Point cemetery.
