Nels Christian Hansen died at the home of his son, H. C. Hansen, 204 N. Ivy 
early Thursday morning from a stroke of paralysis. He was a native of Arendal, 
Norway, born September 28, 1847. He had resided with his son for the past two 
and a half years, and was a resident of Portland, Ore., for the past 50 years. 
Mr. Hansen was a member of Swedish Mission church of which he was a charter 
member and the oldest member of that denomination. He leaves one son, H. C. 
Hansen, and four grandchildren, all of Medford. The remains will be forwarded 
to Portland Friday noon where funeral services will be held with interment in 
Lone Fir cemetery. Funeral arrangements in charge of the Perl Funeral home.
