Hallam, 79, passed away at a local hospital Wednesday. Mr. Hallam was born at Washington, Pa., on May 3, 1864. He made his home in Sam's Valley for many years, and for the past three years lived at the Crater Lake hotel in Medford. His wife, Mrs. Vada Dawson Hallam, passed away in February, 1941. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Minnie E. Connor of Washington, Pa., who has been in Medford for the past 10 days with Mr. Hallam; one brother, Barnie P. Hallam, of Paola, Kans. Funeral services will be conducted from Perl Funeral Home Saturday at 4 p.m., the Rev. Ward A. Rice, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in Medford I.O.O.F. cemetery.
