Mr. Hackert was born in Germany on August 10, 1863, and was aged 85 years. He came to the United States when he was 16 years of age, and lived in Nebraska for several years, moving to Jackson county in 1902. He was a member of the Methodist church of Jacksonville. His wife, Minnie, passed away in 1946. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Anna Wolff, Willow Springs district, Mrs. Mary Godward and Mrs. Ella Burnfield, both of Jacksonville; three sons, John, Medford, Albert and Otto, both of Jacksonville; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Perl Funeral Home Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. D. E. Millard officiating. Interment will take place in Jacksonville cemetery.
