She was born in Illinois on October 20, 1851, coming west with her parents when but a small child. Her home was in Sonoma county for many years. On October 12, 1872, at Petaluma, Calif., she was united in marriage to Andrew Grissom. In 1893 they moved to Jackson county where she had resided since. For four years they made their home in Phoenix and then moved to the Lake Creek district. Mr. Grissom passed away February 21, 1919. Five of ten children survive: William Grissom, Gooding, Idaho; Mrs. Anna Tonn, Herbert Grissom, Lake Creek; Mrs. Florence Coe, Ashland; and Mrs. Lillian Cingcade, Phoenix. There are also 20 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Services will be in the Conger-Morris chapel at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. W. A. Dawes officiating. Interment will be in Phoenix cemetery.
