Grim died at his home in Central Point, Oregon, Wednesday evening. Aged 89 years, 11 months, 17 days. Born in West Moreland county, Pennsylvania, February 2, 1837. He was an honored citizen of Central Point. A kindly gentleman and loved by the whole community. He was a Civil War veteran, enlisting in the 25th town infantry and serving three years in the war and was with Sherman on his march to the sea. He enlisted at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and was discharged at Washington, D. C. March 20, 1867, he was married to Mary E. Cooper at Salem, Iowa, and to this union were born five children, two sons, David C. Grim, deceased, and Leslie J. Grim, of Phillips, Neb. Daughters, Mrs. Cora B. Grisham, Sargent, Nebraska; Mrs. Clara D. Wilcox, Corvallis, Ore., Effie M. Grim, deceased; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Grim moved to Aurora, Neb., where they lived 35 years. Had Mr. Grim lived to February 2, 1927, Mr. and Mrs. Grim would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. The family has resided in Central Point for the past 19 years. He was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic, and of the Methodists church for 60 years. Mr. Grim is survived by his wife, Mary E., and three living children. He was a farmer most of his life, retiring 29 years ago. Funeral services will be held at the home and funeral announcement will be made on the arrival of the children. Interment will be in the Jacksonville cemetery. Remains at the Perl Funeral home. DIMICK--Clarence Abel Dimick died at the Sacred Heart hospital Thursday morning, aged 52 years, 4 months, 20 days. Native of Calistoga, California. Born August 20, 1874, Mr. Dimick had resided in Medford for the past year and at Little Shasta, Cal., most of his life. He leaves two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Whitsett, Montague, Cal., Mrs. Lulu Martin, Little Shasta, Cal., four brothers, Ellsworth, Red Bluff, Cal.; Ralph and William, Montague, Cal., and George, Little Shasta. Remains will be forwarded from the Perl Funeral home Friday morning to Little Shasta, California for interment.
