C. Griber, an aged pioneer of Jackson County, 77 years old, died at his home four miles beyond Jacksonville Monday afternoon at 5:30 o’clock. He was well known throughout the Rogue River valley and has many acquaintances among the old-timers. About a year ago he was stricken with paralysis and since that time has been in failing health. His death was sudden. Mr. Griber is survived by five daughters, two living in Portland, two in Klamath Falls and Mrs. Herman King of this city. The funeral arrangements will be announced later.
