Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Monday, 30 Aug 1943, p. 5, c. 5 
Funeral services will be held at the Perl Funeral home tomorrow at 2 p. m. for 
Alfred D. Gordon, who died Saturday at his home, 511 South Grape St. The Rev. 
D. E. Millard will be in charge of the services and interment will be in 
Central Point cemetery. The deceased was born on the upper Rogue River April 
23, 1873. He was married May 1, 1900, to Effie Obenchain, at Jacksonville, and 
the couple had three children. In 1915 Mr. Gordon married again, his second 
wife being Louise Dunavin of Klamath Falls. Survivors are his wife, Louise; 
one son, Lester, of Medford, and two daughters, Tessie Roberts, Portland, and 
Fern French, Medford. Other survivors are three brothers, Uriah Gordon, 
Prospect; Monroe Gordon, Medford; Robert E. Gordon, Ft. Klamath; three 
sisters, Mrs. Jane Vincent, Alturas, Cal.; Miss Clara Gordon and Mrs. R. B. 
Vincent, both of Prospect, and nine grandchildren.
