S. Vandorfy three miles southwest of Medford. Death was caused by paralysis. He was born in Lamar, Barton county, Missouri in the year 1848, was married to Frances Moore in 1869, who passed away eight years ago. To this union eight children were born, three of whom survive, Mrs. J. S. Vandorfy, Medford, Mrs. George McLean, Casmalia, Cal., and Frank Gillaspy of Eureka, Cal. He also leaves nine grand children, one brother and one sister, who are in the east. He crossed the plains in 1882 and since that time Oregon has been his home, living in Medford for 20 years. He has been a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church for 25 years, giving much of his life in service to others. Funeral services will be conducted from the Conger funeral parlors Sunday at 2 p.m. Rev. C. H. Rittenhouse will have charge of services and interment will be made in the Phoenix cemetery.
