Stratton place near Talent, Ore. Mr. Geppert was born in Baden, Germany, February 27, 1851, and at the time of his death he was aged 78 years, 3 months and 15 days. He was one of the earliest pioneers in this country, coming here on November 19, 1884, first settling in the Butte Falls district, and had since last November been living near Talent. He was a man of high ideals and character, and during his 78 years he had been sturdy, never sick a day, working up until the time of his death. Josephine Marshall was married to Joseph Geppert on November 23, 1882, and to this union were born 11 children, five of whom survive, Horace Geppert of Butte Falls, Ore., Lewis and Charles Geppert of Talent, Ore.; Josephine Casey of Klamath Falls, Ore., Mrs. Greydon Childreth of Medford, Ore. Funeral services will be held at the Catholic church Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, Rev. Father Black officiating. Interment in the Butte Falls cemetery. Perl Funeral home in charge.
