FRY, PIONEER OF CENTRAL POINT, IS SUMMONED BY DEATH John T. Fry, 92, a resident of Central Point for the past 62 years and one of the oldest residents of the county, passed away at his home in Central Point at 7:30 this morning. He was born at Kansas City, Aug. 20, 1848, and from there came to Jackson County in 1878. Mr. Fry was a long time member and former clergyman in the Free Methodist church. His wife, Sarah Isabelle Fry, passed away in March of 1939. He leaves two daughters, Ada Campbell, of Portland and Mrs. Roy Long, of Salem; also 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Conger chapel at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Poet of the Free Methodist church officiating. Interment will be in the Medford I.O.O.F. cemetery.
