FRENCH OF TALENT PASSES Ida E. French, a resident of Talent for the past eight years, passed away at her home in Talent Sunday afternoon. She was born near Roseburg, Ore., June 23, 1870. The family later moved to Athena, Ore., where in March, 1892, she was united in marriage to B. N. French. In 1910 they moved to Phoenix, and have made their home in southern Oregon since that time. Mr. French, a few years ago, preceded her in death. Five children survive, three daughters and two sons: Laurence and Edward French; Mrs. Fred Rapp of Talent, Mrs. Lawrence Crawford of Tule Lake, Cal., and Mrs. Ray Coleman of Jacksonville; ten grandchildren, also two brothers, W. P. Banks of Dayton, Wash., and Will Banks of Freewater, Ore.; one sister, Naomi Dickinson of Milwaukie, Ore., besides many other relatives and a host of friends. She was a member of the Baptist church of Talent, also a member of the Neighbors of Woodcraft of Phoenix. Funeral services will be held from the Conger Funeral Parlors Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Sige of Klamath Falls will have charge of services, and interment will be made in the Phoenix cemetery.
