C. Wilson and Mrs. J. I. Fredenburg, which occurred Friday and Saturday, December 17 and 18. Though the death of Mrs. Wilson had been expected for some time, a kind, loving mother, wife and friend will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Though an invalid for several years, her every thought was confined to the welfare of her family. She was a resident of Sam's Valley for the past nine years. Mrs. J. I. Fredenburg was born in 1860 in Sam's valley, and with the exception of fine years in Gilliam county, has spent all her life in Jackson county, being a resident of Sam's valley for the past ten years. Her death came as a terrible shock with only a few days' warning. She was well known as a busy, happy woman and highly respected by all who knew her. She was a kind, helpful wife and loving mother. The community will feel her loss sadly. Our heartfelt sympathy goes with both bereaved families in their time of sorrow. The following relatives were called to the bedside of the late Mrs. Fredenburg: Louis Pankey, brother, from Klamath county; Louisa Smith, sister from Central Point; Nellie McKenney, from Klamath county, and Minnie Moore, from Central Point; daughters, Mary Leslie of Medford, sister-in-law, and W. J. and Harmon Fredenburg, brothers-in-law, from Medford.
