FOWLER PASSES, AGED 45 Loren William Fowler, 45, passed away at a local hospital Sunday morning after two years illness. He was born at Arcadia, Nebraska, October 29, 1894, and was married to Amelia Crossman, October 22, 1926, at Rapid City, South Dakota. He leaves his wife Amelia Fowler, two sons and one daughter, Vernon and Weston Fowler and Mrs. Velma Dole, all of Jackson County, also two grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Thompson, Custer, S. D.; Mrs. Lillie Farber, Motley, Minn.; Mrs. Ellen Jones, Medford, and one brother, Fred Fowler, Alma, Colo. The family has resided in the Prospect district since 1929. The deceased was a veteran of the World war, enlisting at Camp Custer, Sept. 20, 1917 and engaged in the Battle of Chateau Thierry where he was slightly gassed. He was assigned to company K, 47th infantry at the time of his discharge on April 11, 1919. Funeral services will be held at Perl's Funeral Home Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. James Dole of the Prospect Nazarene Church officiating. Burial will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
