R. Fairman, aged 75 years, was found dead on the porch of his home in the 1200 block on East Ninth street Wednesday night by Steve Gardner. Death is presumed to have occurred about six o'clock, and the cause to have been heart failure. It is thought Fairman was stricken when in the act of unlocking the door, and seated himself upon the porch. When found he was sitting erect, resting against a chair. Coroner John A. Perl took charge of the body, and determined that death was due to natural causes, and that an inquest was unnecessary.
