Evans, aged 40 years, a resident of near Phoenix and well known in that community died at the Ashland hospital Monday, April 28. Death came shortly after noon after a lingering illness. He was the only son of Mrs. Cora Evans and he leaves no near relatives except his mother. His father, James S. Evans, died in 1923. The body is at the Conger funeral parlors where services are being arranged and from where funeral services will later be announced. Evans, a resident of near Phoenix, who passed away Monday, will be held at the Conger chapel at 2:00 p.m. Thursday. Rev. W. H. Eaton will deliver the address and interment will be in the Phoenix cemetery. Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Thursday, 1 May 1930, sec. 2, p. 6, c. 1 Eden Precinct, Ore., May 1.--(Special)--Death came Monday to Frank Evans at the Swedenburg sanitarium in Ashland. Mr. Evans, who lived on the south highway, had been suffering for a number of years from ulcers of the stomach. He was a consistent Christian, a good neighbor, a true friend and an obedient son. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Cora Evans, and many dear friends to mourn his untimely passing.
