ERDMAN IS LAID TO REST Sarah J. Erdman, born at Dixon, Ill., June 17, 1854, passed away October 29, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. D. Hazelrigg, 4129 Anza street, San Francisco. On May, 1869, at Lake Washington, Minn., she was married to Chas. W. Andrews, brother of Edward and the late George and William, all residents of Medford. One child, Nellie H. Hazelrigg, was born to them. She leaves one sister, Mrs. Fannie Sweet of Hopkins, Minn., who resided in Medford several years. Chas. Andrews was killed in a railway accident, November 17, 1893. In the fall of 1899, she married Major Adolph Erdman. They lived in Milwaukee, Wis., until coming to Medford in the fall of 1904. She was a charter member of Cereal chapter No. 2, O. E. S., Mankato, Minn. Mrs. Erdman resided in Medford for many years, where she had a host of friends, several of whom attended her funeral services at Oray's mortuary chapel, October 31. Among those present were Mrs. W. G. Oldenhagen, Mrs. Bob Telfer, Mrs. Hamilton and daughters Venita and Enid and Miss Evelyn Applegate. Many loyal friends, including members of O. E. S. chapters, made during her residence in the bay district with her daughter, attended the service. Her remains were cremated at Woodlawn Masonic cemetery.
